Aaron Martin is the founder and driving force behind SonSk8 Indoor Skatepark and East Skate Club, based in Glen Innes, Auckland. A lifelong rollerblader, skateboarder, and action sports enthusiast, Aaron has dedicated his life to creating inclusive, safe, and vibrant spaces for wheeled sports in Aotearoa.

With a background in youth work and a deep passion for community building, Aaron established SonSk8 to offer year-round access to quality ramps and obstacles for skaters of all ages and abilities. Under his leadership, East Skate Club has become a registered charity advocating for better public skate facilities, disability-inclusive programs, and youth development through action sports.

Aaron’s vision goes beyond just tricks and transitions—he’s here to grow the skate culture in New Zealand, break down barriers, and make skating accessible to everyone. Whether he's running coaching sessions, building ramps, or meeting with city councillors to push for equitable sports funding, Aaron’s energy is full-send and his commitment is unwavering.
